Get yourself into a relaxed, alert mood by playing some relaxing music in the background, setting the temperature of the room to a comfortable level, and sitting on a sofa, chair or on the floor in a comfortable position. Prepare a blank tape and recorder, or any voice re- cording apparatus (computer, digital re- corder, etc).
Take 5 deep, full breaths. Expand your belly as you inhale, and do the opposite when you exhale. Look at each of your Goals for example like being able to go on a long vacation at a halal hotel in bangkok (which you should have written down before the exercise). Gaze at each one calmly and intently for 1 to 3 minutes. Try not to blink as you do so. After 1 to 3 minutes, close your eyes and try to visually recall what your goals looked like, from your yet-to-be- developed photographic memory. When you close your eyes, you’ll get some faint impressions on your eyelids, some remnants of lights, colours, lines and shapes that you can remember from the Goals you’ve stared at previously.
Press “Record” on your tape recorder and start describing what you are seeing with your eyes closed. Talk out loud to the tape recorder what you can remember from the Goals you’ve written down earlier, and which you’ve just gazed upon a few seconds ago. You’ll find that the more detailed your talking descriptions are, the more detail you’ll start to recall about your Goals. Please maintain closed eyes while you’re doing this. No cheating!
Describe out loud your inner visual memory of the Goals for about 3 minutes. Then open your eyes, look at your Goals and describe it to the tape recorder loud and clear, eyes open now, for 3 minutes. Once done, stop tape for a while and take a brief break.
Once you are ready, play back the recordings you made just now. Relax and listen. Rehearse yourself living the actual “moment of victory”, the “moment of truth”, so to speak, of attaining the goal(s) you desire. Revel yourself in all the elements and aspects of it. Feel the emotions, the states of euphoria, the spiritual upliftment, the intuitive sense of gratitude and joy, the excitement all mixed up, as you live that moment in future time.
Once you’re done ‘pre-living’ those moments, open your eyes with a smile, pleasantly awakened, as if you’ve just had a revelation from up high. Feel changed, feel more affected by the presence and possession of your ideal self, feel closer to the attainment of your goal. Write this feeling down. Write any ideas you may have attained while or after doing this session, that may help you in the pursuit of your objectives. Do this for 10 days, twice a day. Same timing: morning and night, before and after bedtime.
