Let’s Explore the Origins of Tea
The history of tea is one that dates back to ancient China. In the year 618, during the Tang dynasty in China, Buddhist monks from India brought tea to China. In 780, in the Tang dynasty, Lu Yu published his book “The Classic of Tea”. This book described how to pick, process and cook tea. During this time in China, tea was used as a medicinal drink. In fact, in China, tea has been used medicinally for over 3,000 years.
But it was not until the British came in contact with the Chinese tea that they started to develop an appreciation for it. Tea is one of those beverages that has been around since antiquity. However, its popularity only became widespread in Western countries like Britain after they were introduced to this drink by the Chinese themselves. The Chinese people have long been drinking this beverage for its medicinal properties and as a form of socializing, but it wasn’t until the British Navy arrived at Canton (modern day Guangzhou) at the end of the 18th century that they took an interest in this drink too.

Common Types of Tea that is Loved By Everyone
Green Tea and Matcha
Green Tea is a drink that is steeped in tradition and history. It is best known as an antioxidant-rich beverage which has many health benefits. Green Tea has been used by people for centuries to fight off the common cold and improve general well-being. Green Tea can be made from the leaves of either Camellia sinensis or C. assamica plants, which are two varieties of the same genus of plants commonly called tea plants. The plant is grown in many warm climates all around the world, with China being one of the largest producers. Green Tea is also brewed into an infusion called Matcha, which is ground into a fine green powder to be served in Japanese tea ceremonies as green tea.
Rich Flavoured Black Tea
Black tea is a type of tea that is less oxidized and caffeinated than other types of tea. Black tea, also called red tea, comes from the plant Camellia sinensis. Black teas are produced by infusing the leaves in hot water and by leaving them to steep for a longer time than any other type of tea. This produces a darker colored brew with a richer flavor than other types of teas. Some people drink black tea in the morning or afternoon to produce an effect similar to drinking coffee, which contains caffeine.
Dark and Rich Pu Er Tea
Pu Er Tea is a type of tea that is dark and rich in flavor. It can be steeped for a short period of time or brewed for long periods of time depending on the desired taste. The name “Pu Er” was given to this tea by the Taiwanese government in 1992 when it first started exporting products to Taiwan from Yunnan Province. In China, this type of tea is mainly consumed as a medicine or an energy booster because it has higher caffeine levels than other types of teas.
The process of making Pu Er tea is a long one, involving at least three steps. First, the raw material for the tea is harvested and processed into various grades depending on how long it is aged for. Next, the processed tea leaves are either steamed or pan-fried to remove water content. Finally, the leaves are compressed into bricks or cakes which can be aged for an extended period of time to bring out their flavor.
